About me and my story
The introduction to stick making came by chance when I crafted a rudimentary walking stick to aid my brother during a period of illness. I designed a simple custom walking stick with carved features reflecting his love of music, which he appreciated, but I felt I could create something even better.
So, I delved into reading and research, creating a few bespoke walking sticks to understand the proper construction techniques. This exploration allowed me to incorporate my unique ideas, resulting in attractive designs that began to sell. Since then, I have taken on numerous commissions and significantly expanded my portfolio.
Stick making has become an addictive passion for me, enabling my creativity to flourish while honing my woodcarving skills through interesting projects.
The main bulk of my work revolves around crafting unique walking sticks featuring carved animals, often based on photographs provided by clients. Together, we collaborate to create likenesses that serve as meaningful keepsakes.
Many of the dogs depicted have passed, and these sticks become cherished reminders of beloved pets. These special projects bring me a great sense of achievement, and I take pride in the satisfaction expressed by my numerous happy customers.
